Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig 21st September, 1983). 21, 1983) is a famous American actor. She is most famously known for her role was the character Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost television show, and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio, dropped out high school and moved to Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. The actress landed her first part as Rachel's Room's lead character in 2001, despite having a difficult time financially. In 2002 she was nominated to receive a Young Artist Award with her part as the 15-year-old murder victim Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford, the character she played in Lost from 2004 to 2005 was nominated for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was dropped from the series in 2005 to focus on the role of a greater part in movies, and had a role in the film Taken alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in the film Taken. Grace has been on Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well in 2007 and in Taken opposite Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. The role was reprised in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). In addition, she played Alice on Malice in Wonderland which is a modern version of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to Shannon's character in Lost for two more episodes. This included the final episode of the series. She appeared in 2013's six-season of Californication. She plays Faith who's both an avid stargazer as well as a groupie. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. She belongs to the Gyllenhaal family and is the older sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. In her early teens, she played small parts in her father's movies and she co-starred alongside her brother in Donnie Darko which is a popular cult movie. She also starred as a character on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. She also appeared in Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received acclaim from critics for her performances as the lead in the romantic erotic comedy drama Secretary (2002) and in the drama Sherrybaby (2006) both of which brought her a Golden Globe Award nomination. In 2006, she starred in several films that were commercially successful, including World Trade Center. However it was her performance in the role of Rachel Dawes that brought her more attention with The Dark Knight (2008). The year 2009 was the time she was nominated for the award of Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her role of a single mother in Crazy Heart. In the following years, she was in comedies and dramas such as Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011, and Won't Back Down 2012 Her other parts include acting as a Secret Service agent for the Secret Service in White House Down 2013. She also appeared singing in Frank 2014, and in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, where she is the title role. Gyllenhaal was first introduced as a director and writer in 2021, with her psycho-drama The Lost Daughter. For the film, she won an award for the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and received nominations for the Academy Award.
