Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. When she was a kid, she listened to lots of traditional music as well as traditional boleros. She also listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana has a passion for the opera and tango genres as well as any form of dramatic performance. Ana began to learn how to sing and play music from an early age, along with her mother. She was given more formal training in singing when she was 16 years old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. She performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young student and professional. In 2000 she moved back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she returned to her new home in Southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist of the traditional Latin American music at private performances. Passion and enthusiasm for music, art, and performing keep her engaged with many local organizations as a performer and teacher. Ana was also a part of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher in The Performance Loft. Ana loves to sing classic Latin American songs and hopes to encourage other people to follow in her footsteps.
